Morphix Technologies, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was
conceived in August, 1991 as Gilian Environmental and changed its name to K&M Environmental in August,
1995. The company began with a charter of developing a product line of passive diffusive air sampling
devices. This product line would represent a revolutionary new technology for the industrial hygiene market.
Industrial hygiene professionals today rely on our SafeAir® andChromAir® badges to monitor workers exposure to toxic gases.
In 2005, the company changed its name to Morphix Technologies to reflect its growing diversity of
products and markets. Over the past few years, the detection of toxic gases has taken on a critical role in the
fight against terrorism. Morphix Technologies has leveraged its deep experience in the industrial hygiene arena
to develop new and innovative approaches to toxic chemical detection for war-fighters and first responders. Our
most recent product, the Chameleon®, gives military men and women, first responders and industrial
users a wearable device, allowing hands-free detection of up to ten different hazards at one time in a wide
variety of operating environments.
